The History of Kenens Racing
Kenens Racing, not yet tagged, began in the 1950’s with Ray Kenens Sr. Ray Sr. raced sprint cars from the ‘50’s through the ‘70’s with groups like USAC and ASA. He raced in a day when roll bars were disdained as optional equipment. Although Ray Sr.’s racing ended, the family tradition continued on with his two sons, Ray Jr. and Ed.
This begins the new era of Kenens Racing. Ray Jr. races in central Indiana and Ohio at tracks like Kokomo and Eldora. Since 1992, Ed has raced in 14 states, at 37 different race tracks, covering 50,000 highway miles. Ed has raced with organizations such as Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series (HOSS), Tampa Bay Area Racing Association (TBARA), United States Auto Club (USAC), and Auto Value Super Sprints (AVSS).
